Default Jensen Beach, FL

The wife and I headed down to Jensen Beach this week to take advantage of a free 2 night stay at the River Palm Cottages that I won in a raffle last year. Really cool place right on the water that's near some excellent fishing spots. She called it a "babymoon", I called it a fishing trip.

Views from our waterfront cottage were excellent.

I towed my boat down with plans of fishing most of the day Wed but the weather had other plans. Winds of 30+ only allowed us to be on the water a couple hours Wed morning. We still managed to have a good time, landing enough jacks to keep things interesting.

Most of our luck came fishing the dock at night. We managed a few small snapper, some trash fish, snook and my wife landed a nice almost 30" trout. I did hook into one big snook that quickly snapped my line on the dock pilings. My main goal for this trip was to catch a snook, this fish has evaded me on several trips so far. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely be back!

Should've got a crew cab...and a jon boat.
