2020 Duck Season

We ended up killing a dozen or so over opening week. Scouted a bit yesterday and found a honey hole! Tons of Woodies (as usual), but I heard a dozen or so mallards (very unusual around here) and saw some gadwalls. This honey hole is probably the easiest duck hunting ever, we stand in a cow pasture and shot when they fly out. There is a row of trees they have to get up and over, so the shooting it pretty easy. I'm sure the duck world would frown upon my activities, I will have my dog with me to pick up ducks in the pasture.

Hopefully they stick around until Saturday!

32 woodies this weekend. Best duck hunting I've seen in 20 years. I limited out in 10 shots. Second day was slower.

Some of the guys I hunt with are the worst shot in the world! I swear to God I watched one guy shoot 90 times and never dropped a duck!

Of course, he was constantly sky busting. I called him all sorts of names, luckily for me he was on other side of the bay and the ducks flew to me.

Next week might get a little crazy around here with ducks!!! I'll be out scouting this weekend for sure.

We killed 7 today. I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. Jesus I sucked. Could have killed my limit in 2 minutes. Some times I shoot well. Sometimes I shoot like shit.
