Default Mineral Licks

What kind of minerals have ya'll had the best luck with??

So far Godfrey's has been the best mineral lick I've ever put out. It's pricey, but I've never seen deer dig such a hole on a mineral lick!!!

I have to put in a good word for Penningtons Rackmaster mineral lick as well.

It's cheaper than the Godfrey's, but I tried a bag of it this past summer and it was also a huge success.

I like the bag minerals better, because they soak into the dirt much faster than the 50lb brown blocks I've used to chunk out in the woods.

I have no idea Bucky, but I have been wondering which ones supply the best mineral supplement rather than which is the better attractant.

for the money and usage trace mineral is GREAT. 50lbs for $9 or so and refresh 2-3 times a year pending rain etc.

never had an issue with getting deer started and they like using it...here's a few pics

bottom edge here

they even fly over them sometimes

Default Here are some pics

I threw out one 30lb bag of Godfreys and deer tore it up all summer long.

I ended up letting the 10pt in the pics walk on November 3rd. He was chasing two does and stopped for me at 40yds.

Question

I've never been really big on mineral licks...........

I think they are really beneficial, but just haven't ever took the time to place any of them out.........

Godfrey's????????? Is that a brand or place you get it from?????????? Or both?????????
