Default Power Pole

Just finished installing a used Power Pole XL on my Scout. Picked it up locally for a good deal. Im not sure if you guys have any experience with them but their customer service is awesome. This unit is well outside the warranty period, made in 2011. Regardless, they sent me parts on 3 different occasions (new spike, new hoses, and then new hoses/fittings when the old fittings leaked) to get my unit up and working. All done without any push back as to the age of the unit. Awesome customer service! Ill have a PP on every boat I own from now on.

I have an 8 version. Down here on the coast, theyre worth their weight in order to anchor in mud on a running tide.

I've heard the same thing about their customer service. They are nice to have on the boat.

I also had a micro on my Gheenoe. Bought brand new and the unit had an issue right out of the box. Called PP at 4:00 on a Thursday afternoon, I had a brand new unit at my door Friday am so that I wouldn’t miss the weekend fishing.

Just use that push pole/spud pole. I'll loan you a spade bit to drill the hole in the fiberglass.

Another great CS experience. Got the unit installed, everything worked great.
Went down to the boat two days later and had hydraulic fluid on the floor, and the pole had leaked down. Noticed that the new fittings were leaking on the old, rusted hydraulic cylinder. I called them this morning and they're sending a new cylinder.

So I will now have a brand new unit, minus the pump. For you fellas that want one, look used. I paid about $650 for mine locally.
