Default About right...

Mostly whining here, since you guys are hunters and will understand.

A few months back I found out I was picked for the River Creek Dec rut hunt. I've been looking forward to it for a while and based on the way the new quota system works, it took quite a few points to make it happen.

Fast forward and we've been extremely busy/stressed at work with multiple projects in the air. One of our biggest opportunities for breakout growth is with an investment group and we've had a few rounds of meetings with them. We were supposed to wrap up this week, but as things go, they decided to bump out to the first week of Dec and have 2 days of meeting in Boston...right in the middle of the hunt. I have no choice but to be there.

Pretty much par for the course right now. I know some folks have WAY bigger problems than this, but I'm still pissed.

Whiny azz vent session over.

As much as it pains me to say, sometimes things are more important. That sucks.

Yep, totally get that. Adulting sucks. Totally just whining really...

All in all, I've had a great season so far. I've killed 4 deer and my boys have been a part of all of them. Haven't seen the big bucks I've been after, but I've got some showing in the daylight so I may just have to pop one or two. No sense in saving a tag for RC anymore!

They only tag them on the December hunt. Tag your own for the November hunt and archery hunts.

On a quota hunt? I think you are wrong.

I stand corrected. Looks like a sign in quota hunt. I won't put in for that. I thought they tagged quota hunt deer.

Most of them do. The December hunt is a check in and they do tag them on that hunt i believe. Still though the October bow hunt doesn't take any points and is worth hunting. Hell i may go next season. Anybody else?
