A purist would go back with what it came with stock On the RS I would think that would be a 327. The 396 was only available in the SS in 68 if memory serves me correctly. I may not know all the original members to Skynyrd that well but I DO know my Gen 1 Camaro! I think?

Yeah but a purist would only have a numbers matching car. If the original motor is gone, throw whatever you want in there!

Unfortunately.. for the 67 & 68 i'm pretty sure there was no numbers matching.. that didn't happen in the Camaro until 69 i believe. Hell.. the 67 & 68 don't even have RS or SS designation on the vin tag or trim tag so you really can make them whatever you want.
All they have is;
Model Numbers
12337 = Camaro 6cyl, 2dr. Sport Coupe
12437 = Camaro 8cyl, 2dr. Sport Coupe
12367 = Camaro 6cyl, 2dr. Convertible
12467 = Camaro 8cyl, 2dr. Convertible

I've pretty much decided i'm going full digital on the gauges to clean up the messy looking gauges and wires. The company is Dakota Digital. Spent some time on the phone with one of their techs yesterday and he walked me through a bunch of it. Great customer service.

Picked up a 12 Bolt tonight. This will work great for getting the coil over suspension set up without tearing the car down to do it. Should be able to get everything welded up and ready to just swap out with the coil overs..... when the time comes,, just not in the budget right now but couldn't pass up the deal on the 12 Bolt
