Default What kind of duck

will dive under water for long periods of time? I watched a duck at our pond dive down and never saw it come back up!

Sure it wasn't a grebe? They'll dive down and stay for long periods of time.

It wasnt a merganser. It was bigger and looked more like the pic James posted
