Default Kansas or Missouri this fall

been looking into bow hunting the first week of Nov in the mid west and Ive narrowed it down to Kansas or Missouri. Ive found a outfitter in SE Kansas for $2500 for 5 days with lodging at a 1800's restored hotel and meals, spoke with the guy for a while tonight and he sounded like a real nice guy , he came highly recommended from a guy I know who has hunted with him before. He runs a small operation with only few hunters at a time and a seamed to have real desire to make each hunt a memorable one for each client. He said even thou I missed the draw I could get leftover tags for his zone when they are thru with the draw.

The other option is in northern Mo with http://www.honeycreekoutfitters.com/ , cost is 2200 plus meals and tags,
Id rather hunt Kansas but the Mo hunt is cheaper and closer. what would yall do?

Im wanting to bow hunt during the rut. and if I go it looks looks it will be Missouri. After checking with the Kansas wildlife folks I was told there will 0 chance for any leftover tags for the zones this guy has land in. I sent him a text and asked why he said I could get one. He replied no worries and that I could just use one of his brothers tags!!!! I dont think Ill be hunting with him!

That kind of thing happens all the time. If you want to hunt Kansas I wouldn't worry about the tag part.

I would worry about the tag part.. Don't get caught out there..it's like being caught smuggling drugs in a third world country

Well its official. Im skipping My annual trip to Ontario and hunting northern Mo this fall.. booked a week with Honey creek outfitters, Im arriving on the 8th of November and hunt the 9th thru the 14th, they have 11000 acres of private farms in 2 counties along the Iowa border and 1 county just south of those 2. I spoke with the owner of the outfit and He said that they only run 6 to 8 hunters per week and I will most likely hunt a farm that no one has hunted yet or hasnt had anyone on it for at least a month. Depends on trail cam surveys and guide observations.
He has another opening for that week if any one wants to tag along with Me.
