Technically 25...it's probably pushing closer to 35.

It's a Merc 2 stroke SeaPro. It's a badazz motor!

I'm glad you like it but you're going to be hard pressed to get 35 hp (to the prop) out of a "built" 2 cylinder engine. A 3 cylinder outboard is a different animal. There is no replacement for displacement!

I like your boat though, it looks like a fishing machine.

I should clarify that I am talking about "25 hp outboards" when comparing the 2 cylinders to 3 cylinders

Yeah it's probably not all the way there, but it's definitely 30+. These motors are a simple upgrade to 30hp and from everything I've read they're pretty hot motors even before the upgrade. You can't even buy them in the US...

Bigger fish are starting to show up. One of many yesterday.

No. Got a last minute call to go out with a friend of mine in his 22' Pathfinder.

Fishing has been pretty good lately. Water is clearer than I've seen it in a long time. I could actually see the bottom in 4' of water yesterday which is unheard of for this area. Finished yesterday with 30+ trout in the boat and I kept enough for a snack.

It's a really nice rig for around here. I've found that I'm much more comfortable in it solo, but if I have a decent partner it can fish 2 pretty easily also. It'll handle a lot rougher water than I feel comfortable in (3' seas 3 miles offshore in the Gulf) and can also get real skinny when needed. One day soon I'll need a bigger boat, but I imagine this one or one like it will hang around too.
