Still waiting on the Call. LOL Hopefully the Call comes in or I will have to call them.LoL Tough being a dove hunter without owning my own field to shoot!

We have hundreds in our new 200 ac cutover......gonna be a bit of a problem finding thme......maybe my dog will pick up a few.

Is the cut a yr old? My best shoot ever was on a cut about 4-5 months old

Not yet.....

It is flat loaded with dove! I've never seen so many.

Lots of people pay to hunt opening weekend on pay fields. There's plenty of them. Still way cheaper than planting your own. Ask on GON.

Yea, I will do that if it comes down to it but I really would rather shoot with a bunch of guys I know already I've shot opening day in Tennile with the same group of guys for 35 yrs! I missed last year due to work. Plan on hunting this year

I'll be on the same field I've hunted the last 7 years in Appling, GA. Looking forward to the shoot, commeradere, & food. We eat likes its Thanksgiving! Just not looking forward to the heat.

Mowed some strips..........saw hundreds!!! Gonna start cooking at 8 in the morning or so.........clean doves and fish in the evening.........plenty of room come on down.

We have 200 ac. of clear cut and only 6 people hunting........

Got 2 memberships again this year, one in Jasper county, one in Wilkerson county, my nephew's gotta field and this will be my 26th year in my field.


Birds are wrapped up in Jasper, opening day should be good.

Should be decent weather for dove opener. Mid 80s but overcast with chances of showers. Lower humidity and dew point should be nice.


Not a clue where I will be opening day.

I have all my clearcuts planted with wheat rye and cracked corn......it was kind of hard getting the tractor in to harrow the seed so I just let it sit on top........hope the rain will come and wash it in the ground........just got to keep these doves from eating it all up before it grows..........
