Got my garden in the ground this weekend. Planted 8 Better Boy tomatoes, 4 Celebrities, 1 Roma, 8 jalapenos, 8 okra, 8 cucumber, 2 watermelon, and a bunch of green bean/corn seed. Still have my muscadines to tend to also so it should be plenty to keep us busy and fed. My wife actually came out in the garden and helped plant too even at 8+ months pregnant. She surprises me sometimes!

My dad has about the same size garden as me planted also with a little more variety should I want anything else I'll just go pick it from his place.

I have a beefsteak tomato plant and a jalapeno plant growing in buckets on my back porch. Need a cucumber plant too.

I'm going to try to can a bunch of them. I eat pickled jalapenos and dill pickles a lot so I'll make a bunch of those and probably try to can some salsa too. Most of my tomatoes get picked for fried green tomatoes though.

I'm planting my first garden as well this year. Nothing big. I planted two green bell peppers and two sweet banana peppers yesterday. I bought seeds to plant okra, squash, corn, and cucumbers. I also bought a bag of potatoes and as soon as they start sprouting eyes I will plant some of them. May also plant a few green beans. Thought about playing around with a few peanuts too just for fun.

Love some baked squash with bacon bits, Parmesan cheese, and butter
