No, found a 19' Sea Hunt.

Thanks guys. It's a bad little rig for sure. It'll run 35mph and float in 6" of water, all while burning about $3 in fuel. I'm sure I'll kick myself for selling but a growing family dictates something a little bigger.

The Sea Hunt ain't bad either.

I have thought about moving up in size but wonder about launching and loading and the draft of a 2' longer and heavier boat.

Ain't doing squat until the right heel is healed!

Yeah I'm thinking 19' should still be pretty manageable. It won't be as easy as the Gheenoe where I can just manhandle it, but still shouldn't be bad. Plus we've got a marina here that will throw them in the water for you pretty cheap if needed.

The draft thing will stink too, but in reality, I'm almost always in 3' or more of water and casting into the shallows. I won't be able to get into some of that way back creeks like I used to, but this will open up some stuff of the beaches and places like Cumberland so it's all a trade off.

Just get a new one and keep the canoe. You'll miss it probably.

I would but there's just nowhere for me to keep two boats right now. We're still renting without a garage.

I'll have another one day, but way simpler as a backup creek fishing boat.
