Default Steinhatchee fishing

Got back yesterday from my yearly trip to Steinhatchee. Best weather that we could ask for. 6 of us and limited out on trout all 4 days of fishing. A few bonus fish of blacks, flounder and spanish.

Here are a few pics from the trip including a 25 inch, 4.5 lb trout

Nice! Steinhatchee is a cool place. I'd like to go back and go out with a guide. All of the rocks made me a nervous wreck down there with my boat. I was too paranoid I was going to smack my lower somewhere.

Nice stack of fish!
Mostly using corks, jigs or plugs?
I've never fished over there. Hope the lady fish didn't crap all over your boat

probably 75 percent on Gulp, mostly jerk shads and the rest on cut bait and a plug here and there. The gulp and cut bait were fished under popping corks.

We use the ladyfish as cut bait. For some reason this year, the ladyfish weren't crapping all over everything and you couldn't shake them off for some reason, we had to take most off the hook instead of letting them shake off

You just cannot cut out too quick out of the river. On high tides, I have seen boats go in and out of the river everywhere but we always make the cut to Pepperfish way out the river
