Default New Budget Project

Picked up a new toy to play with today, Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor. Plan is to throw on some decent glass and a suppressor and call it a day.

Nice! The 6.5 seems to be coming a popular round.

Yeah that's why I wanted to try it. It's fast, flat and packs a punch.

Ordered my paw one in 223 today. Almost ordered myself one in 6.5 but decided to hold off.

Still debating on glass for it. May throw something cheap on it for now and go ahead and order my suppressor. Seems to be a decent little gun for the money.

Added a scope to it today. Not what I want long term but our new Academy had it on clearance and with Bushnells lifetime warranty it was hard to pass up.
Bushnell Trophy 4-12x40

Without shooting it yet, I can tell you how Ruger got the price of this gun as low as it is...the stock is crap. I'll be swapping it with a Boyd's I think.

It's about as stiff as wet spaghetti. I knew that going in though. You can actually flex the front by the barrel with minimal pressure. It's just cheap plastic.
