Default Division Among Voters

Does the division among voters seem to be not as wide as in the past? It seems to me that most folks across the nation are not as passionately divided on the issues as they have been in past elections. Is it because most seem to realize that we need some sort of change? (Not matter what it is)
Or, have the folks of our nation become so disillusioned with the choices that we have become even more apathetic?

Default off topic kinda

its a scary thought but it looks like our next President may be decided by no other factors than "because she is a woman" or "because he is black"

what a joke.

I think the later of the two may be the sad reality regarding our nation's current state of affairs...

I know that over the past week, I tried to speak to a few folks about who is in the running for president and 50% of those people didn't even know the people's names that were in "the hat" to be drawn for... Of the others that had a slight clue, they couldn't give me 3 solid issues for any of the candidates...

Our nation is dumbing itself up at an alarming rate...

That frightens me more than most things. I am a centrist and I will be able to live with which ever candidate gets elected as long as he/she is not extreme right wing or extreme left wing.
