Buck is still showing up nightly. I hunted the stand this weekend with Dawson before getting rained out and we have rubs everywhere. They're working both of the mock scrapes we started also. I'm not getting any day time pics of pics right now, but have had a couple does frequenting morning/evening. Hoping the cool down in a week or so will flip the switch.

Deer pics have gone WAY down in the last couple of weeks as the rut is nearing. Not sure what the deal is but the deer seem to have scattered some. I went from daily/nightly activity, literally 100 pics a night, to about 10 last night.

Big buck hasn't shown again since last week, but another decent buck was there at 6:30 this am. Cold front/time change coming this weekend but the wind is forecasted to be totally wrong.

Dawson and I are playing hooky Friday and going to the club. May try to ease in at the house on Sat/Sun if the wind corrects.

I haven’t had a picture of my primary target buck at the house since 10/22. I had just assumed that he had been killed. Last night he showed up on cam again, still nocturnal but it looks like he had a rough rut. His G2 on his left side is totally broken off and it looks like the G3 may have lost some length also. The right side has some broken points too. Still an impressive buck and I’d shoot him. I have several other bucks that have broken part or most of their tracks as well.

Yeah, looks like me dragging in from Athens on a Thursday night, back in the day. Lol

Seriously though. He looks like a old joker.

Yeah he’s a stud. Only have daylight pics of him a few times, all totally random. Once was in the middle of the “hurricane” we had come through.

On a side note, I was just thinking last night that I had a pretty good inventory of all the deer around here at this point and then this guy (May even be 2 different bucks...) shows up last night that I’ve never seen before.

Starting to take inventory of the deer around the house again. I've seen the stud from last year, but his spring/summer range is about .5 mile down the road from my house. I've seen him a few times recently and his growth/mass is already impressive.
