Default Got a new turkey barrel

Got a new (to me) turkey barrel for my 870. Been totin my single shot for the last 7 or 8 years, but I think I'll carry the 870 some this year. Haven't shot the barrel yet, but I've got two chokes, a .660 and the old star dot I used to shoot in my other 870. I'll just see which one I like better....

Cool. Did you have any custom work done to it?

Got it from my uncle....think he had a gunsmith buddy do some work on it, plishing, etc.... but not sure what. Got metal fiber optic sights that show up real well...even in very low light.

Ya'll think I'm fast reloading a single shot....you oughta see what I can do with an 870.

Send it to www.guncustomizing.com, tell "Curtis" to lengthen the forcing cone and polish the entire barrel real good.

Then go to http://www.rhinochokes.com/ and get their choke...

Then go to http://www.nitrocompany.com/ammunition.htm#top%20page and order some H378 and get them in #4, #5, and #7...

Andy, it'll kill them at 45-50 all day the way it's set up now. That's plenty good enough for me. I can take that money and waste it on more calls and gas for huntin trips!

22". Feels nice on the end of that 870.

Tommy....if you do miss a bird down there, just swear up and down you were shooting at a coyote or crows or something. Honesty gets you nowhere with that crew.

"Thick Skin Required To Hunt at TTHC"

I think that phrase should be listed at the top of the rule page down there!!!

Sometimes you have to either throw your hands up and say "I give up" or try your hardest to find an opening in somebody elses "Shield of Armor" down there and go for the kill!!!
