![]() Have you ever been on a tree so big as to have to be at the very last lug on your Summit climber???? The tree i'm looking at getting set up on is that big,,,,, and for whatever reason,, I just don't feel all that comfy knowing it's on the last lug

![]() I've been in a tree where I was on the last lug and had to put the stand up over my head just to get it fastened. 1st lug or last lug, if it fits, climb it!! gotta trust your equipment....helps if you got safety harness, but still gotta trust your equipment. It'll be squirlly, but that will help you keep your edge!

![]() Yep all the time. I always wear my safety harness anyway. I have a bungee cord across the top part of my stands to lean into with my legs for those mid-air adjustments too. There is one tree I climb that I have to adjust twice on the way up and again on the way down. It will work Frank

![]() I've had to adjust up in a tree as well, but I hunt mostly out of API's and I can usually guess the angle right at ground level and get 50ft up without having to adjust on most trees. I just climb with a steep angle on the stand for 20 or so feet before it starts to flatten out. The scenerio above with GT was out of one of his Vipers and climbing insanely high. But.... It was one hell of a spot and one hell of a view! ![]() ![]()
