Progress has been kind of slow with family and work, but we got out to stretch our legs this am in honor of National Mustang Day. Car turns 55 this year.

After almost a year, my wife still had not ridden in the Mustang. No rear seatbelts, or room for car seats, makes it problematic for a family of 5. Not to mention that it wasn't running for about a 4 month window.

Taking advantage of a free babysitter and date night, we decided to pull the Mustang out and go for a ride. Needless to say, she loved it, and I now catch less crap for the money and time it takes to own a classic car.

I also bought a vintage set of M/T valve covers (like my dad had on his '67 Fastback) that I'll install when I freshen up the motor. Not as exciting as Frank's updates, but this is a poor man's ride.

It always seems like anything with these old cars takes more time than it should.

After having my headers installed, I was still slightly making contact with the shock towers. I decided to address the issue vs. banging in the headers with a hammer.

I bought a new upgraded export brace and Monte Carlo bar to hopefully hold everything in place as it should be. I knew pretty quickly that my hunch was right. I need the shock towers to move almost an inch to be where they should be. I've been fighting with this project for a week now. Porta power is coming out tonight...
