Default Dove fields

Who all is thinking about planting a dove field this year?

What are you going to plant and how many acres?

I'd like to do one but every time I have in the past it turns off dry. I planted about 10 acres of sunflowers and Pennington dove seed mix. If I do one this year I'm gonna stagger millet and grain sorghum. That way I can have an early hunt and late hunt.

I've always shot a shotgun with both eyes open. Now that I am one eyed, I'm thinking that I won't be able to hit chit. I guess I need to find out.

My neighbor plants 5 acres of sunflowers every year and hammers the dub birds. He just clear cut some of his property and going to double his sunflower fields. I'm going to sit in our back pasture and shoot his birds coming and going to his spot.

Heck, Id like to join a dove club somewhere honestly.

I dont even know if they exist.

Hunting around here isnt too good, especially on public land.

I just want a place to hunt my dog more than once or twice a year. I feel like dove hunting is where she excels at.

Does he put up an electric fence or anything to keep the deer out?

I don't know of any dove clubs in North Ga, but I'm sure a lot of people would jump at the opportunity to join a good dove club me included.
