Default Cancer sucks !!!!

Woke to the news this morning that a friend of mine, 36 years old, died after a 4 month battle of melanoma. 4 months ago, you would have never known it.

That's terrible.

A friend of mine in his early 30's just went through thyroid cancer. He had a tumor the size of a baseball. He had it removed at Vandy and is now finishing up radiation. Hopefully, all will be well when he is finished

My god that's terrible.
I watched my dad suffer thru that terrible disease. He was diagnosed in august and gone in January. I don't wish anyone to have to watch someone they love go thru it or anyone go thru it them selves. It has no age discrepancy either

Yep. It will touch everyone at some point, whether you get it or someone you know and love gets it, it affects everyone. Truly sucks.

Hate to hear that Dennis. Knew a kid that got diagnosed with Melanoma at 21 and died at 22. Melanoma is bad but the immunotherapy drugs are increasing survival. But not enough!

I went to school with a guy through elementary and high school, played sports with him all the way through. He got sick after graduation and was diagnosed with throat cancer and died at 19. Still think of him from time to time. Went to school with another guy with cystic Fibrosis and he passed away around age 25 and he lived for deer hunting. He lived several years past his expectancy

My Aunt got diagnosed with Melanoma and was Metastatic at diagnosis. She got into clinical trials at MD Anderson. My Uncle drove and flew back back and forth for many months. She fought hard but deceased about 2 yrs later. Those final days were tough to see. Bad stuff

I totally understand what you're talking about, my dad got diagnosed in October with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. After getting pneumonia about 3 weeks ago, he just decided to stop taking chemo. For the most part, he's basically confined to a bed.

Within the past 2 years, he also lost his brother and sister both the cancer.

Hate to hear that Dennis. Melanoma scares the shit out of me being bald. I wear sunscreen all the time and get checked regularly.
