Question Pepper plants!

I'm going to plant some peppers this year... Probably banana, bell, and jalapeno's.. What can I do now to be sure my plants produce? I'm needin' plenty of peppers for pepper jelly, and I'm honestly tired of trying to hunt some down or buying them. This year, I want to grow my own.

So, what do y'all do to get a lot of peppers?

Gator? Seems you had a truck load last year... What's the trick?
