Nice! A lot of fake news out there about other schools doing it. Glad to see a school actually take a stand and tell Nike to shove it. TM has always been a good college anyway.

While I wouldn't piss on Kapernick if he was on fire, what NKE is doing is actually pretty genius...NKE has always been a icon of capitalism. They are a worldwide brand. While we true Americans are refusing to support them, think to yourself when was the last time you actually bought something NKE anyway? I think my little girls have a pair of shoes each, but that's it. These morons that at championing them for what they are doing with Kapernick ironically hate, protest against, and vote against everything NKE really stands for. They are now buying all kinds of NKE swag in support of NKE's "stance." Who benefits? - NKE. Make not mistake, NKE's first duty is to their shareholders. I'm interested to see their next earning report.

Kind of my thought. Nike could give a chit about social issues. They're seizing an opportunity to make money. If they didn't project increased sales, they wouldn't do it.

Personally, I'll never buy from them again...but I'm also not their target consumer and my lack of purchase won't mean anything to them at all.

I heard sales up 31% since Falcons game debut of the commercial. Not to mention the buzz which is free publicity.
