Mike thinks I shot thru him in front of the lungs because there wasn't lots of blood on the arrow. He said it looked like it just went through tissue . Just hard to believe that with a quartering to me angle that I wouldn't get atleast 1 lung. But Mike said he has seen them live for many days on one lung

Depends on the angle. It's difficult to shoot behind the shoulder at a quartering to angle and hit the lung and you could of went over the liver. I hope you find it, but if you don't, then I hope it lived and you see him again. Shoot him thru the shoulder next time

Saw a buddy at bb game last night. He stuck one a little high last week. Got pictures of him 3 days later in same spot. Exit hole side. Little high but cant believe its still walking and doing fine. Ypu never know. They can be tough critters.

This has to be exactly the same scenario. We did not find the buck this am so hard tracking blood in dog fennel and scattered pines. All my cams are all back in place where he is been frequenting so we will see if he shows alive. I will also continue to watch for buzzards this week. Have no idea how I missed not getting this buck. Just one of those things that happen in the deer woods
