Now I see why you passed him. I would have also with those other bucks you have pics of. That broken tine might have helped him get a pass?

I'd be happy to harvest any of them but "you can't eat the horns!"

If someone truly wanted to hunt the Midwest ... It's their own fault if they don't. I've learned so much about the availability and quality of the public hunting in Kansas and it's awesome. In fact, when I go back in Nov, I'll be spending a few days on a 640 acre block of Public land that has CRP and the state plants Milo on it for the pheasants.. The locals told me ( more than once) about a huge buck they've been seeing in the CRP on that tract and have even gone in to detail as to which cedar tree they've been seeing him cross at. In Nov, i'm going to go look for him

That's a cool state. Lots of walk in private area access to hunt as well. Haven't made it out there yet, but have been checking on it.

Only reason I'm not hunting the Midwest is because all my buddies either have locked in to another place or can't go this year. Not sure if several of them will go back for many years. All have kids that have soo much going on right now and own their own business that they can't leave very easily for weeks at a time. I've always wanted to own a small farm somewhere in the Midwest that me and a couple buddies could go up and hunt a few weeks every Nov.
