Default Who will be the next coach at GSU?

Sources say Monken is headed to Army. What happens at GSU?

I'd say Giff Smith and keep Brent Davis as OC.

It will probably be someone that brings in a prostyle offense.

Doubtful. If TK does that and doesn't WIN, he'll be run out of town on a rail.

Lose with a prostyle offense, lose with the TO....isn't losing losing? That's what's going to happen either way.

Look at PJ and GT. He's a 6 or 7 win coach with his offense. There is no reason to expect GSU to be any better. Besides, you can count the number of coaches on one hand that run that offense at the college level.

When has GSU been considered a loser with the TO? How did Van Gorder do with a Pro-Style offense?

Van Gorder was there for 1 year trying to run a prostyle offense with receivers who were recruited to block, not catch. You really think he was going to be successful in one year with a bunch of players recruited for a completely different offense?

GSU has won with the TO simply becuase of playing in the FCS. They would be considered "losers" with the TO when they face most FBS competition. GSU is 2-19 vs FBS competition counting the win vs FL since 1978 when the FBS and the FCS split. Now that they have moved up, there's really no reason to expect that to change.
