Default I like it, even my picket fence wall.

Lol!

Been working on this since February. Not just the cave. Finished stairs, hallway, shop area, 3 closets, bedroom and bath. A few hours in the evening and weekends. Takes a while! Been in my house for 18 yrs and finally took the time to finish the basement. Not a penthouse or anything but we love it!

Still have a pedestal to build for another mount, a couple of wall mounts if I decide to hang them, some beards and spurs.... donít want to clutter it up.

Anyway, thanks for looking!

Thanks! Sixes, from what I gather, those are needles. I’m assuming coon or fox bones that are still sharp. I found those in amongst a bunch of pottery that had been dredged out of a creek. I guess the mud preserved the bones. They are in perfect shape.

Not a high quality artifact collection but I’ve found most of those within sight of my house.

Anything found that has been in the ground or on the ground for a few thousand years is a high quality find.

If you ever get a chance, I'd like to see some closeups of them. North GA or South? Thats amazing that they were preserved so well, makes me wonder if they were wrapped in something that helped.

Iíve got some pics somewhere. I found them here in Cleveland. A lake was being built across the road from my house and the main creek was being dredged. I didnít find tons of points in that mud but lots and lots of pottery pieces and those bones. Then the jackass that owned the land ran me off. Lol.

I canít blame him. It was a multi million dollar development. The dozers uncovered a burial place shortly thereafter. About 1/2 mile up the creek. They had all the equipment shut down for weeks while archaeologists were out there with toothbrushes.

I wouldn't be surprised if those needles were in a burial. You were probably close to some really great finds. I know of some stuff out of burial pre Lake Allatoona that are incredible. My cousin had one of the pieces and it stayed in the Smithsonian for years. They actually had to sue to get it back out.

That's is why I never recommend donating artifacts nor even talking with an archaeologist
