I'm rolling the dice and staying in. With 10 or more years left to play the game I'm shooting for the stars. I never seem to time selling and buying back in just right. LoL. So I'm best to stay put until I'm ready to pull the trigger

Neither are good investments in a bull market which I still believe we are in. Both are considered inflation hedges which I don't think is or will be an issue. The physical metals are worthless in my opinion because neither are accepted as currency in this country. You have to convert them back to dollars which defeats the argument for owning them.

If you feel a need to own them I would look at the ETFs. The most commonly traded ones are GLD and SLV.
