I think the lead is a great idea.
Why is the dog sitting facing you when you throw the mark?

This was his 3rd trip to the pond for introduction to water and we were playing more than anything...Still working on heel when we do yard work so I wanted this to be fun for him more than anything else....He seemed to love it.

I don't see anything wrong. Like D said the lead is a good thing! Try and get them to heal beside you if you can when you throw marks. At their age I don't think you have to be real stern about it but it's a good time to install those habits. I'm not the expert on puppy training because Bear was almost a year when I got him but I'm a big believer on having solid basics!

Yep....He stuttered on a too long for a little guy mark so regardless of what anyone says or thinks its staying on....Scared the crap outta me.Glad Evan agrees.

Bo threw the dummy when we were just going down to cool off and there he went.

Thank you....They are 17.6 and 15.3 as of yesterday. Supposedly their weight at 18 weeks x 2 is their Adult weight. We will see.
