Default Magroins deer journal

9/12/09...AM hunt. Saw 1 doe while walking to my stand. Saw another right after I climbed the tree. At 9:10. 2 does and a fawn walked in on me. I had a perfect 12 yard broadside shot at one of the does, but she was the one with a fawn in tow. I just wasn't in the mood to hear the fawn crying after shooting mom. I figure there will be more.

9/12/09...Eve. Saw a few turkey, and a ton of armadillos. It was a open area, and I don't plan on hunting there again. I was just carious about the area.

Awwww good for you to not shoot one with a baby! Armadillos? Cool, I'm gonna have to come hunt with you sometime... I've never seen one of those in person before!
