Default worried bout my Pup

Last week I noticed My lil Opal was having trouble getting in the truck and jumping on the couch, . this past Thursday she starting wobbling and loosing her balance in her hind end. I took her to My vet Friday and he referred us up to the UGA vet school ER, they took in early sat morn and did some test and xrays, nothing jumped out at the doc so they tried a few meds and watched her all day Saturday but it got worse, By afternoon she couldn't even stand. , this morn they sent her to the neurology dept and they examined her, the neurologist called me a while ago and wants to do a MRI in the morn. Said it could be a slipped disk in her neck putting pressure on her nerves or something as bad a cancer or a brain malfunction I hope the MRI shows something they can fix and get her back on her feet. That lil dog has followed Me around for the past 10+ years day in and out. I take her everywhere I go.

I hope the MRI shows something that can be repaired. My dog has issues with walking now. Dr said she has Cushing disease. Treatable with meds but at 13 yrs old only going to work for for a yr or two

Hope it all turns out good.

Seems to be a trend here at THE PLACE. Mine, Dennis', and now yours...

My lil girl boykin started throwing everything she ate or drank up one weekend back in Feb. Vet gave her a bunch of fluids, nausea meds, antibiotics, bland food diet for 2 weeks. Att the end of two weeks she seemed fine.

2 weeks later on Sunday, same issue with throwing everything up, but Monday morning she was fine.

Week later it happened again. Wife noticed a knot in her stomach. Off we went to the vet. Vet finally felt what we felt so did xrays. Looked like an enlarged kidney so sent us to a specialist.

Specialist says kidney has to come out, but we will do an ultrasound prior to surgery. During ultrasound found both kidneys and they were normal size.

Ended up being a benign hemorhagic (however you spell it...blood filled) mass on her spleen. Removed it and spent 1.5 weeks in the cone of shame.

She is fine now, just hoping it doesn't pop as an issue somewhere else.

they did the mri and it didn't show any thing abnormal, no cancer , tumors or disc problems, it did show a old spinal injury from years ago when she was a puppy that has signs of healing but the vet said it wouldn't cause the lack if motor function shes experiencing. they are gonna take a spinal fluid sample and test it for signs of infections. so I guess its good news and no news so far. they still don't know what wrong.

well it aint looking good, went and sat with her for a little while today, her condition has gone down hill fast, she just laid there and panted, didn't even try to raise her head off the pillow. She was happy to see me and wagged her tail and licked My hand but the sparkle in her eyes was gone and it just broke My heart to see her like that. They still don't know what is wrong, ran every test they can think of and nothing .They put her on antibiotics and are going to do a thyroid test and run a few more blood test and call me in the morn. I'm going to give it one more day to see if she improves before I make a decision but I have My doubts

Dang Phil, Hate she hasn't improved and they haven't pinpointed it yet.

Praying she shows improvement tomorrow.

she showed some little signs of improvement over night, this morn she had her front legs under her and had her head up. she was glad to see the vet tech and was wagging her tail and had a little more alertness in her eyes. its a small improvement but its better than none. I hope she continues to improve through out the day.
