Default Foodsaver??

Anyone have a Foodsaver and what do you think of it?

I've wanted one for a long time and I watched an infomercial this morning before work an dalmost ordered one. I buy a lot of stuff on sale (meats, shrimp, etc) plus my processor doesn't wrap my deer that well.

So heres a couple of questions for those that have one.

Are they worth the 140 bucks and are they easy to use?

Thanks, the infomercial fired me up this morning. I found the same one they were pushing in the infomercial at BJs Warehouse for 20 bucks cheaper and its only about 8 miles away.

I love that thing it works great. Ive processed a lot of deer with it...use it to store fish in the freezer and we store vegetables in it from the garden too....it works good i recommend it.
THX, I'll check them out.

I have heard that they work really great on fish, I don't keep many fish, mainly cause we don't eat them much, but we need some taken out of our lake at work, so I might start keeping some.

I like fish, BUT I really like them FRIED and thats what I'm trying to stay away from.

I'll check it out and see what comes in the kit. The one at BJs has 2 jars, 2-3 rolls of bags, quart and gallon sized bags, plus some coupons.

Broadhead got one...i dont know if he has used it for anything else but we tried to do shrimp one day and it did NOT work out great. The tails kept poking holes in the bags, it wouldnt seal ect.
Now on meat and other things i bet it would be great.

But we had been drinking so that might have had something to do with it...

Tim, the deer processor I have been using do the steaks and chops in the bags and after two years they still look good.

My wife hates the one(s) I have. The first one is the original & must be 10+ years old.

I'll make you a deal on them.

You can find them for a whole lot cheaper.. and they are worth every penny you put into them.

We save our deer jerky in them, trail mix we've made, stew meat, etc...

After you get one and use it for a while, you'll wonder how you got along with out it.

i love it! we usually quarter out the deer and save two whole hams before getting them processed.... the "cut it to you size" roll of bags is great for that, and we've never had a problem with it spoiling. PLUS you can quick defrost by keeping it sealed in the bag and dropping it in some hit water.

I say it is one of the bestpieces of equipment I have ever purchased as a hunter and fisherman! Keeps the meat fresh, makes it alot easier to store it, label it, thaw it in the bag in water, makes life alot easier and alot cleaner. Go get ya one you cheap bastard!!

OOPS Sorry sixes, thought Tampaspicer posted this lol Dont know if you is cheap or not. Tampa is just a cheap pimp!!! lol
