Default Peyton Manning/ Andrew Luck

I'm in no way trying to compare the two, but, have any you realized that the Colts are probably going to pick #1 in the NFL draft. At this point in Peyton's career would you not look to trade him and take Luck with the #1 pick? You could get several good draft picks for him and work on building a good team, not just Manning. Plus, his neck may never be 100% again. I think I would work him in a trade and try to dump that huge salary of his on someone else.

they aint gonna deal manning. But they will draft Luck with the first pick. if he comes back healthy he is still a top 5 QB in the league.

Yep...and who better to Coach Luck and pass the torch than Manning....Also believe it or not...Luck may not turn out to be a good NFL QB....Think Jeff George or That kid who busted in San Diego....Perfect in College and on paper but couldn't play a lick.

i hear ya. but Luck has a pretty good level headed head on his shoulders. unlike George and Leaf, both were hot heads.

I would think it would be worth keeping Payton around a couple of years and let Luck learn from him

The Colts should draft Luck just on the marketing potential of his name and the Colt's horseshoe logo...... $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Heres the rub. The difference between a completion, incompletion or INT in the NFL is inches....inches. Perfect example...Last night Smith threw an out route which was on target and should have been a completion for a first....the Safety who had come down to cover a TE in the flat broke on the ball while Smith was in motion....if he hadnt dropped it it was a pick 6.....Smith did nothing wrong.....in fact it was a great throw.

4 Plays later....Same play and the WR dropped it as it hit his chest. If you look at the stats this morning both of those show as Incomplete even though both were great safe throws.

Looks like Luck will be thrown into action right from the get go. Wonder where Peyton will end up?

.Peyton will be playing next season...........I just doubt it will be with the Colts................due $28 million by early March, and now they say because of the collective bargaining agreement he cannot throw till April...........I think Irsay lets him go................as a Colts fan, I think that sucks..........man deserves to finish his career there if he wants to, money be dammmmed...........
