I am shocked to see how stupid people have become. Kind of disappointing.

I was flying home from West Palm Beach yesterday and the ATL Airport was hauntingly empty. Supposed to be traveling to Sacramento this Saturday but I'm thinking that this will be cancelled.

My SIL just became a Delta flight attendant. Her last flight was to Madrid and she said it was eerie how shutdown that city was.

My work is "work from home" until further notice, daughter is doing online learning, and my job is considered essential but I wouldn't be surprised if they ask for volunteers and lock us down at work for a week or two.

If the money is right, I will jump on that deal.

Yesterday a person from out of state (not a Texas resident) tested positive for covid19. He had been at a prison (Littlefield TX) working with admin and staff within 14 days of this positive test. He showed no symptoms of any illness until approximately 48 hours before his test. The 19 people he had direct contact with are all quarantined for at least 14 days. In a town with a population around 7000, panicking is setting in. My wife works at a regional medical institution about 45 miles away. They have been preparing for a $hit hits the fan scenario for a couple of weeks. I suspect pretty soon we will see if the preparations were enough.

Acording to the "expert" on the raidio 99% will survive this flu - so we have to shut down our entire economy, put people out of work and crash the stock market

And it's an election year....................

The H1N1 flu:
80 million infected
Over 300,000 hospitalized
18,000 died - no panic and very few shutdowns

So far the numbers of the Coronavirus don't add up for all this hysteria (hopefully they never will) - just my 2 cents

And the reason H1N1 didn't have the panic is the news media. They sat one their hands since information was often contradictory. This cycle they have jump on pure panic mode.

Understand there is no medicine to cure this or lesson duration like tamaflu does with the flu. Just try and lesson high fever (temp over 103.0) with tylenol or aleve and hope your lungs are strong enough not to be placed on a ventilator.

Honestly, we have no idea how COVID will compared to the others. We’re comparing beginning numbers to total numbers... I sincerely hope it is way less and overblown.

By the way, two more deaths from Albany today. And 400 more waiting on test results... Phoebe Putney is running out of resources in a matter of days...

Phoebe is my customer. Who knows when I will be able to call on them again. May be next year unless I set up some Skype or web ex calls

They're hurting right now. Our regional hospitals are going to be severely impacted by this. Phoebe is reusing PPE right now because they'll be completely out by Friday.

First case confirmed in Glynn Co. last night. It was amazing to me to see how quickly everyone started shouting for the release of the person's name. Individual rights are flying out the window right now, all in the name of "fear".

What's bad is Phoebe Putney is the largest hospital in that area. After that you have rural hospitals that are basically set up for light duty so to speak. So serious cases get sent to Phoebe Putney. Their being overloaded impacts patients from all around Southwest GA.
