took a buddy who is new to the sport this morning, hunted some public land. called in 2 off the roost but he passed on an iffy 45yd shot, got on a group of birds at about 9am, 2 gobblers and 10-15jakes and 1 hen. called em accross a clear cut to us, took em 45 minutes to cover the last 30yds, finally got em into range, counted to three, and it worked out perfectly, two well timed shots, two birds crumple, until we got down there and realized he had accidentally shot one of the jakes instead of the other longbeard. oh well, he had an awesome time and got his first bird, just wish he wouldn't have gotten mixed up.

Congrats! Based on reports there must have been a pile of gobblers and jakes in the woods this year! Never expected as many would be killed as there have been.

not currently, I quit my job for turkey season, my main source of income is buying and selling cars, I probly turn about 10-15 a year, and I set up my class schedule where I can hunt every day of the week,

Im very much trying to make the most of it, I know that these last few years are the most hunting I'll ever get to do in my life, so I go every chance I get.

Ahhhhh.... I remember my early 20's. And you're exactly right about the hunting!

Live it up Jaker.
