Just turned the soil over in my garden bed this morning. I think I am going to plant spinach and lettuce tomorrow, since they are cold weather plants. I am sorta in between a rock and a hard place, not knowing when we are headed to Boston for 3-6 months. I don't want to get too involved with a bunch of plants in my garden as much as I want to and then leave them.

I worked out a deal with my in-laws. They have a horrible garden spot and mine is awesome. I am going to let them plant in my spot and I am going to help them with it. In return for my help, we will split the veggies.

Nah, I don't see me having time this year and my In-laws are gonna use my garden spot. They always seem to give us plenty of veggies every year and I am sure this year will be no different.

Both me and my inlaws plant peas, green beans, okra, squash, cucumbers, corn, tomatoes, watermelon, bell peppers, lima beans, butterbeans, and some spices.
