Default Dead Bird Deux

Got home Tuesday at lunch and my Dad wanted to go down to my uncle's lease in Butts County. I agreed and drove back thru ATL that afternoon.

Had a run in with this old joker yesterday morning after the rain and had him at about 30 yards, but he was behind a row of brush, strutting and drumming. A big group of yotes came thru and ended up spooking him away yesterday morning ending the hunt.

Went back to the same spot this morning but located to a better spot. Started off SLOW only hearing two gobbles at 7 and 705 and then dead silence. Finally made a call about 830 and the bird answered and over the next 15-20 minutes, he slowly made his way to me.

My Dad and his buddy have been hunting this property for 20+ years and finally let me go with them. It seems to hold a lot of birds and is beautiful land and some of the biggest bodied deer that I ever seen in Georgia.
