Default The corn

Ain't holding like it once was. Swamp oaks (sawtooth, chestnut oaks whatever you want to call em) are falling at the house. Hoped they were too green but they are hitting em. Spread out over the bottom too. Coulda been easy last weekend

I’m guessing this drought is causing them to abort early. We need some rain

Drought? I didn't think anywhere in the state was in a drought.

It would have been SO easy last weekend. Between shedding velvet and a few nuts falling, it isn't a sure thing this weekend like it was here either.

I still got a couple I'm considering around the 115 mark, but the 2 MO betta ones have been a lot less regular

Mine are still on corn but bucks are arriving later in the eve since my neighbor is Corning also because he heard I was a bowhunter and doesn’t want me to kill one

Looked like corn was working for hunters today. Saw a gross green score 177 from Worth and a 125 by my friend Bryan Haines son this eve. Head buried in a big fresh pile of corn. LoL

Watched a couple of bucks last night , twin 9 points. Both have close to P&Y left sides and high medium time left sides. 1 in velvet, 1 clean. Might should have let 1 fly, had em at 30 yds. Saw 4 does and 3 bucks.

Good start.

I haven't been yet, I slaved at work all weekend. Not sure I will even get to hunt for the first couple of weeks. Going to Orange Beach next week and working evenings this week

Might slip in a morning hunt, but I hate killing them before work
