Pro level-
1. hang lock on stand
2. lace area with lots of corn
3. sneak in one morning early and kill whatever comes to eat corn.

for definition of lace see early writings of the famous Limbhanger back when the forum was created.

I believe you are referring to what I call "alternative agriculture zones". Using the word zone is an important aspect of the outdoor writer's vocabulary.
