It's more of a buzzing noise. Unmistakable! Never had one let me know it was there before I knew it was there!

The only snake I like is a Ringneck,they're pretty small and docile.

Tommy, I think that coachwhip had been hit by a car and injured. He was denned up near a gopher hole. I saw him in the same spot 2 different days. The first day I didn't have my camera, but was able to walk up on him and even pick him up. The next day I had my camera with me "just in case" and luckily he was still there... sunning.

Never saw him again. I hope he made it!

Looks like a Garter Snake and a Corn Snake. One eats frogs and bugs and the other one prefers rodents.
