not. There are too many extremists in the NRA for my taste. I don't support Ted Nugent for the same reason...he's too extreme.

Yeah...they do a good thing...but ............

Life Member. In my opinion they are our only hope to keep what few rights we have left.

Negative.

I joined once.. Sent my $25 membership few in, chose my 2 magazines. Nothing. Called and asked and they said "We've never received the check". I never mentioned I had sent a check... though it had cleared.

So, I'll give the benefit of the doubt, sent in another $25 check, chose my 2 magazines and never heard back. Called to inquire about that... "Oh, we thought that was a donation, if you'll sign up today with a credit card, we'll go ahead and get you taken care of".

I told them I'd been "taken care of" enough, and that I'd end the call right there.

They got $50 of mine. They'll not get another dime.

I'd join SCI before I would NRA and I don't even go on Safari hunts!

I'm a member but only out of a guilty sense of obligation. My membership lapsed about 7 or 8 years ago when I moved and it was nice not to receive all that idiotic junk mail and annoying phone calls from them. I rejoined only because I had to in order to join River Bend. So, on a weekly or bi-weekly basis I shred their junk mail and avoid their phone calls.

The biggest mistake that organization ever made was using the term "Safari" in their name. However, if it pulls the big bucks out of the high rollers, then all the power to them (and Lord knows I saw a lot of that last week in Reno). SCI does for hunters what NRA does for gun owners. They are committed to protecting hunters rights. Safari may be in the name and most get the impression that they only serve Africa hunters, but they will be the first to show up with attorneys and money when the antis decide to challenge your right to hunt here in GA. They get more of my money now than any other hunting/firearms related organizations.

Was at one time but never again it's to long for me to type. They shot there own selves in the foot with me.... Sort of like Handgunners deal but not quit the same. I don't like being lied to or ripped off is all I need to say about the NRA.

I am a member. Should have done the Life Member when it was $250.00!

I do not like all of the junk that goes along with it though.

Been an annual member since I was 12 or thirteen!

I renew every year at the Buckarama to get a free T-shirt.

To keep them from calling and harassing you, DO NOT give your phone number. The guy working the NRA booth told us that trick and they haven't called me in years.

Oh, I know that... which is why I put the in there.

I may join up with them, because I do believe they do us proud.
