Seeing as you're a moderator on archery addix, maybe you've seen the answers to this question. In looking around classifieds for used bows, there are hardly any 70 lb bows out there. Most everyone is shooting 60 max limbs. Why is that? That many passies out there who can't draw and hold 70 comfortably? Even saw a couple folks getting chastised for shooting 70. Didn't know that many fairies were into bows.

I don't think you saw much chastising on Addix unless it was short draw or old folks and they're just talking trash. Achery Talk folks mostly are the GO******s of archery that learn by watching outdoor channel and the shop they buybuy from..my guess. 70/29 used to be the norm. Another reason I think is a lot of folks are target or 3D shooters that shoot year round and don't want to **** up their rotary cuffs like the occasional archers you already might know.

It was archery talk. Classifieds are slap full of 60 lb bows. The archery addix classifieds suck, or basically are non existent unless I'm missing something.

I have noticed that over there. Another guess is they're looking to upgrade to heavier dw bows.

I'm glad I'm a real man. 70lbs, 30" draw here.

My old PSE Dominator was 80lbs with a 3" overdraw. Lmao!

How times and technology have changed.

Does that mean most everyone shoots less than 60 lbs?

I've always shot around 70. I think I'm on 68 right now.

I guess their responding behind giving him the mod job was diversity. A transsexual moderator looks good to the lib tard archers.

Killed my Elk with a Bear Mountain Star 82# 30" w/3" overdraw (1998),, I've been shooting 70/30 for the past 20 years but the older these shoulders get i'm afraid i'll be one of those 60 pounders soon
I'm probably going to pick up a 50# to shoot for a while to start working back up to 70#

With the technology nowadays, shooting an arrow with the proper FOC, and not some lighter than air toothpick with a dumb Rage 4" cut mechanical on the end of it, you should be good to go with a 50# bow Frank.
