Default This is a big gun safe

I rode up to the Bargain Barn yesterday, truly sucks compared to what it once was) and they had this safe sitting outside on a trailer.

It is absolutely massive, I'm not even sure it would fit in most homes.

Holy cow !

On a side note, our school superintendents house burned down a few weeks ago. He said all guns, money and papers inside his safe went up in flames. About the 5th time Iíve heard that. I bought one of those small safes to put inside my gun safe to keep money and papers in. The guns? Well, donít know what to do about them.

Yeah, I bought a fireproof lock box that I keep inside my safe that contains cash, passports, Birth Certificates, deeds, wills, etc.

Everyone needs to check their homeowners policies. Most cover guns up to a very small minimum (2500 or so). It doesn't take but one nice gun to eat up most of the allotment

Yep, 2500.00 on most. I dont have 2500.00 worth of guns but Ive got way more than in guitars and gear now. I got a seperate rider on my insurance policy that covers 10 grand of music equipment against theft, fire, breakage and everything. No deductible. An extra 80.00 a year. They will do the same for a gun collection up to 10 grand.

That's why I didn't go cheap when I bought a safe. I didnt only buy a safe for protection from thieves but also from a fire
