I'm a casual duck hunter. Deer and Turkey are still #1.

Around the house, it'll be public land holes late in the season, every now and then at the club in Screven, and if I get the invite again in Illinois, I'll go, until I get my hands on some good whitetail dirt up there. When that happens, nothing but deer up north!!

Sounds just like what GatorB was saying 3yrs ago, he deleted the posts so I can't pull for reference, and look at whats happened to him. Odds are against your plan working out.

Oh, and congrats on the Can last week. I killed a few hens back in the day but the stars never aligned for me to get a drake.

This guy actually has a point. It's a theme with gator though. Remember when he didn't care about titles as long as his dog was trained to his standard? Or when a Boykin could do anything a lab could do?

Back then he asked me for some advise on getting started, best advise I gave him he didn't follow. It was "Quit now while your ahead.".

You're screwed. As soon as that needle went in your arm and your thumb tapped the plunger you were done.

See Mr. Woody's progression of events for where you can expect to be within the next 1-2 years.

You also need a SBE, I happen to have one we can make a deal on.

Hence the reason you are trying to cyberscout with this here "species" thread.

More like let me see your wide angle tailgate shot so I can look for familiar landmarks......

By the way, my driveway still looks great.

GatorB dove off the Grand Canyon... I just like to wing shoot. It's something different to do when I'm not deer hunting.

My wife already asked me if I was going to go nuts with the ducks and I said, "What do you think?" She says, "I don't really know, well at least duck season is pretty much the same time as deer season." I said, "You just answered your own question."

I don't need to cyber scout.

I've got plenty of good places to go if I choose to do so.

I'm territorial as hell about anything public land. Deer, turkey, ducks, whatever...

I "get" where y'all are coming from.

Post up close up shots of birds then.

I would think most of y'all are smart enought to do that anyway.
