Question Hey Etter2 ??

I'm starting to look for a fishing boat. I would be interested in your thoughts on the boat you decided on. Thanks. Been looking at the G3 boats.

Sorry, i dont check in here much. I love the g3 boats. If i had a bigger garage, i wouldve gone with a 20 foot center console.

Couple of things to think about:
Ill never own a boat thats not aluminum. Not a fiberglass fan.

Since youre fishing allatoona i assume youll be after hybrids and stripers, buy good electronics and a trolling motor that can MOVE that boat to keep up with schooling fish and can be controlled from anywhere in the boat.

Finally, my mercury 4 stroke has been great to me.

Let me know what you get. Im jealous.

By the way, fished the other afternoon in some brutal wind. Caught a big hybrid and lost two good stripers right at the boat. Large trout on downlines 18 to 50 feet deep

Me and my brother fish out of a 1543 G3 but we don't get on the big lakes much. If I was going to fish the big lakes I would go with atleast a 17 footer. And flatty make sure you get one with plenty of storage. My bros boat has none and its ruff. The G3 is a awesome boat. but they should have brought the front deck back another 12 in. and the back deck forward aboud 2 foot and had some storage. here is a link if you decide to go with and alum. I got a buddy thats runs the bang jon boat club that just built this 18 footer. Its a awesome boat. its at the bottom of jon boats builds.
