Default Flops...

What will flop next in the caliber/round world? What will follow in the foot steps of up in the spotlight of marketing, down the toilet with buyers; rounds like the .243 WSSM or the .376 Steyr...

The RSAU Mags are on the way out I believe ammo is getting way over priced and harder to find for it.

The RSUM (Remington Short Action Ultra Mags) are like a fart in a high wind; here, stunk it up, and gone...

Thanks to Rick Jamison and his court appointed judgement giving each new WSM built rifle a hefty royalty fee to be paid out, the WSM's might certainly fall from favor. I think the 7mm WSM will be the first to take a dirt nap. Followed by the 270 WSM... The 300 WSM has a good following but it too might not make it.

Ruger is jumping in and offering "Short Mags" and without a Jamison royality fee...

The WSM's are most likely here to stay they are popular down here for sure. The WSSM's probably won't make it more of a novelty to me.

QB - I am not a WSM fan but I think the .300 WSM and .270 WSM will be around for a long time. The 7mm WSM and .325 WSM will not. As previously mentioned the SAUMs were flops as were the little midget magnum WSSMs.

My guess is the next three flops will be the .30 T/C, the .308 Marlin Express, and the .338 Federal.

Out of those, the Federal has the best chance of living on... But that's a mere breath away from dieing too...
