I have hunted this buck off and on all season long. I started off getting pics and videos of him this summer miles from where I wound up killing him. Other club members had got his picture just last week but I hadn't seen anything of him in close to a month. This morning I had moved to a new area and was 2nd guessing myself because I hadn't seen a single deer by mid morning all the while 2 of my friends were texting me they were seeing a good many. This is how things change change in a split second. I heard something and learned up to get a better look when I saw him standing in some thick river cane. He raised his head and I knew right away I was gonna shoot him but didnt realize what buck it was. Then I noticed he was following a doe and was on lockdown with her. He was just doing what ever she did. I slid around to get a better angle on him and he heard me and broke to run. After running about 40 yards he noticed the doe handy moved and he stopped to see about her... I shot him with my Browning BLR 308 right in the shoulder and he only made it 30 yards or so. I recognized him immediately when I walked up although he had broke off one of his longest tines in the last few days . Not a super high scoring deer but I'm hunting for age more then score. Two 4 1/2 year old 10 pointers in 2 weeks time! I'll take it! This bucks main attribute is his long main beams...Maybe one of these days I'll get ahold of a true giant!

Congrats!

I'm guessing by saying tagged out that you tagged the one that you lost and then found?

If so, good for you, but I wouldn't have tagged a lost deer

Yes I did tag him. I killed him and have the rack so I thought it was the right thing to do.
