Only saw 2 this am. Spike at 745 and a 8pt at 8am. I took out the 8 pt. He picked the wrong day to show up. Lol.

This past weekend hunted twice. Had a good hunt with Cody. Found a dropping whiteoak in thick creek bottom last week. Cody and I set up on the ground and has a 3 pt come in at 615. He decided to pass and wait for a little better one. Sunday I got shut out on am hunt. 4 of us will be hunting thurs thru weekend. Should be fun

Thursday through Sunday should be off the chains here in GA. I forgot I have to go get my bow back out for the Water Authority hunt. I am pumped. The stars are aligning for a great 3 days of hunting. Moon...weather...dates...should be promising.

I hope so. I got one guy flying in from NY, one from Miss and 1 from Birmingham. 2 of us will be Bowhunting and 2 rifle. I put a lot of effort getting stands up this year for these guys. If someone gets a buck it will be the first one shot off this property since 2002! We have been passing everything trying to grow a real trophy. I hope the guy from NY gets a good one. He hunts hard and has limited time to go as he hunts the adirondack mountains and pressure on the deer is high. His largest is a 90 class 8 pt. My old boss is hunting the power line. My only requirement is if he gets a good buck he has to get me a National Account job

Here are the totals from Friday thru Sunday hunts. Friday am 17. Mostly does, yearlings and 3-4 young bucks. Friday eve was on fire. 13 or so sightings and 2 were 8 pts. Guy from New York misses a 17 inch 8 ot at 12 steps. LOL His FIL is an engineer and said a 308 with a 150 gr bullet sighted in an inch high at 100 is likely 3 inches low at 12 yds! The guy Bowhunting made a bad shot on a 15 inch 8 pt at 25 yds. We trailed it for 250 yds uphill and it was bleeding in the scrapes as he worked them. LOL Had to be a flesh wound. I saw a handful of dinks and 6-7 does. Sat was uneventful and Sunday only 2 of us hunted. Once again only spikes and does. We had a great time!
I just set my cam on some rubs at the house that just appeared today. Can't wait to see what made this 20yds from my driveway

Feels great to have the Fever back this year! Already hunted more this year than all of last!
