Hunted behind the house this eve while 4 kids entertained themselves in the house just 150 yds away. Had a spike and a 6 pt come in together with noses down following a trail a doe was on earlier. Scrapes are still being hit back there.

Honey hole tomorrow am Should be interesting in that spot on early Nov hunt

Good luck. I'm thinking of hitting public land for a change in scenery.

Cedar Creek? I will show you a good area to try when you have some time one day. I was in a club next door for years and know where they go back and forth from pvt land. This tract is in Jones county

Good luck to you as well.I'm off to a bad start though these kids spending the night need to go to bed so I can. I'm going in the am regardless. I have that feeling really Snuff for the first time this year. Peak of the rut is usually Nov 3 rd on this property but it seems to be running a couple days behind. We will see

Finally got the blood pressure up when I saw dark chocolate horns coming at me from the thicket. 4 on the left but only 3 on the right and messed up. Just wasn't mature enough and he passed at 8 yds. Just not what I'm looking for but a nice encounter. A 5 pt came from same area about 9 am and passed at 8 yds also. Saw another buck at 930 but couldn't tell much about the rack as i just saw I briefly in a thicket. Saw no does and heard no grunting or chasing

Send me the address and I'll keep your stand warm while you're working out of state.

Should have stayed at home and watched the UGA game. Hunted about 40 yds from where I was this am. Set up where I could cover trail where I saw bucks this am plus the other trail that the 3 rd buck used. Saw a half a racked 4 pt and 530 and that was it. Not but 1 gun shot heard the entire day
