Thanks guys.. I appreciate all the good thoughts.. the "hunt" was with Texas Specialty Hunts out of San Antonio. Not something I would ever pay to do. It was 100% ride around in a 4 seater side x side until you see the one you want then kill it. No such thing as spot and stalk. I'm almost ashamed to say I did it. It would be very difficult to get me to make the effort to do anything like it again. High fence killing is definitely not for me.

On the bright side, you didn't have to get hot and sweaty, thus messing up your hair.

Here's a little interesting fact about scimitar-horned oryx. It was declared extinct in it's natural environment (Africa) but the Texas ranches have been used to restock. The same can be said for Ibex also.

Yeah, Learned that while I was there. He has a heard of about 40 Oryx and we rode around the day after and saw 4 new borns
